Why Do You Need Cheap Digital eBooks?

You may wonder why you need cheap digital ebooks.

Well, for starters, there are truckloads of ebooks available for sale and also for free download out there online. These digital ebooks range in subject matter from how to make money online, to keeping healthy or training your dog. Of the type that are concerned with how to make money, there are many that sell for large amounts of money, some even go for several hundred dollars.

But there are also many cheap digital ebooks available online that give you every bit as much information as the expensive ebooks do - it's just that the cheap purchase price often makes people think that they're not much good.

This is a false sense of reality! Cheap digital ebooks can be a load of rubbish, but there are many that are excellent value for money and are full of extremely valuable information.

So why are they so cheap when others are so expensive?

One main factor in pricing an ebook is the affiliate angle. In order to promote their ebooks, many vendors rely heavily on affiliates to promote their ebooks and drive customers to their sales pages. The affiliates, of course don't do this out of their feelings of charity. They do it for big commissions, which often account for the majority of an ebook's markup price.

Commissions on some ebooks listed in Clickbank can be as high as 75% of the retail price.

That means a for book selling for $100, the affiliate will get around $70 and the vendor only around $20 (Clickbank also take a cut for themselves).

That's why a lot of cheap ebooks are really not much less than the expensive ones, they just don't have to pay affiliate commission.

The upshot of all this is that there are plenty of ebooks available that can be had for less than $10 - some even cheaper or completely free - if you know where to look and to weed out the useless ones from the good ones.
